The Gratitude Attitude

Well. It’s not Monday or Friday when I usually post my blog entries.. but I’m just sitting here, sipping on my coffee post recovery day, walking the dogs, eating breakfast, and podcast listening. As I was sipping on coffee (Nespresso for the win today!), wondering what I was going to write about, I kept thinking about how incredibly fortunate I am to have encountered so many enriching learning opportunities. It’s honestly like opening door after door into new worlds with each new thing I learn.

I’ve been reflecting on the individuals who’ve guided me along this journey—true lifesavers, every single one of them. It’s not just the big lessons in life or formal settings, but also the small, everyday teachings from friends and strangers. Whether it’s learning about a new movement hack or understanding new ways of digital multimedias (where my dendrites tingle), every bit of knowledge shared has been a gift.

The more I learn, the more I see how these experiences shape who I am. It’s like every lesson is a piece of a puzzle that makes up ‘me’. The learning process isn’t always smooth sailing—it’s full of challenges and setbacks, but that’s what makes it thrilling. There’s something deeply satisfying about struggling with a tough problem and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I mean, it sucks while the struggle is happening, but the lesson along the way can truly be magic.

Lately, I’ve been focusing a lot on gratitude, especially in relation to these learning experiences. We had a journal circle at The Transformation Station last week where we introduced ourselves, had 3 small breakout groups, worked on our journals with prompt handouts, then had time to share in our groups what we had written. Taking a moment to appreciate each conversation, each reflection, no matter how small, can really change your outlook. Having open eyes to these lessons can turn routine days into extraordinary ones and ordinary lessons into life-changing revelations. It’s amazing how a simple shift in perspective can illuminate the richness of everyday life.

So, here’s to embracing both learning and gratitude with open arms! I’m excited for what’s to come and just can’t wait to dive into the next adventure. Here’s raising a glass (or a coffee mug) to that exciting journey ahead. Cheers to more discoveries and countless small and big reasons to be grateful!
