Okay, so I have written a blog post about the importance of hydration earlier this year.. but now we are talking about ways to get in more water! This is a subject in our current December challenge that I am running with The Transformation Station, which I have coincided with my coaching as well for this test run before the new year hits. Yes, it’s a $300 value coaching package that I included for TTS premium members at no extra cost for December. Moving forward, there will be challenges, but they will be un-coached. So if you’re wanting to take advantage of this, you still have 3 weeks to get in on it!
…Let’s dive in!
Staying hydrated is crucial for maintaining our overall health and well-being. However, it can be challenging to remember to drink enough water throughout the day. But worry not! I have compiled a list of 10 easy and fun ideas to help you increase your water intake and keep your hydration levels on point.
- Start Your Day with a Splash:
Kickstart your morning by drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up. It’ll wake up your senses, flush out toxins, and set a healthy tone for the rest of the day. I recently implemented this, and it’s definitely a game changer. - Create a Water Schedule:
Set alarms or reminders on your phone or use a water-tracking app to prompt you to drink water at specific intervals. Consistency is key, and having a schedule will ensure you never forget to hydrate. - Infuse It with Flavor:
Sometimes, plain water can be a bit boring. Add a burst of flavor by infusing it with fruits like lemon, cucumber, or berries. This not only adds a refreshing twist but also makes it more appealing to drink throughout the day. - Carry a Reusable Water Bottle:
Invest in a stylish reusable water bottle that you love carrying around. Having it within reach will remind you to drink more often and makes hydration convenient wherever you go. I carry around my gigantic Yeti because it holds enough water to get me through 1 of 2 parts of the day without filling it up! - Make It a Game:
Turn drinking water into a fun game by challenging yourself to finish a certain amount by a certain time. Set mini-goals throughout the day. - Set Visual Reminders:
Place sticky notes or water drop stickers in strategic places around your home or workplace. Seeing these reminders will prompt you to grab a glass of water and quench your thirst. - Drink with Every Meal and Snack:
Make it a habit to consume water with every meal and snack. Not only will this ensure you stay hydrated, but it can also help control your appetite and support your weight management goals. It especially helps if you add hot sauce to your food 🔥 - Opt for Herbal Teas:
If you find plain water unappealing, try incorporating herbal teas into your hydration routine. Green tea, chamomile, or peppermint tea are not only delicious but also count towards your daily water intake. - Use a Straw:
Drinking through a straw can make it easier to consume larger quantities of water. This simple trick can help you stay on track and finish your daily water goal without even realizing it. I won’t even touch a water bottle without a straw anymore.. it’s been that much of a game changer! - Track Your Progress:
Keep a tally or use a water-tracking app to record the number of glasses or bottles of water you consume throughout the day. Seeing your progress visually will motivate you to stay consistent and reach your hydration goals.
Staying hydrated doesn’t have to be a chore. With these easy and enjoyable ideas, you’ll be sipping on water throughout the day in no time. Remember, small changes can lead to big improvements in your health. So start incorporating these tips today and cheers to better hydration! Also, we have that beautiful checkmark in the app for each hydration day this week. Be sure to hit those goals for that extra feeling of accomplishment!
