Good day everybody!
I had a great week. I was right about my last check in re: shark week coming; it had actually came early!
I love how I have the knowledge in the way numbers/workload work with my clients progress/bodies in their fitness, nutrition, motions, intakes/outputs, but also my own! These are things/tweaks that I have learned throughout my weight loss journey, and through coaching so many clients. & That’s a victory in itself. Eat, breathe, sleep, evaluation, observations, & science!
Losing weight, shedding fat and gaining muscle feels amazing, but what really put a smile on my face was losing another inch off my lower stomach. I’m officially down 5 inches off my lower tum, so I’m confident I’ll be able to rock my pants in a smaller size that just arrived too!
My Achilles Tendon inflammation (that just started a couple months ago) has caused some continual pain, but I refuse to let it hinder my progress. Although I go for regular treatment for my tendon, I’ve also continued my workouts.
My partner booked us a birthday photoshoot in June, so I’m looking forward to wearing my goal jeans for the shoot.
Last May was when I really re-buckled down, and since then, I have lost 90 pounds.
Woah. A year has flown by.
Some people think ‘well, weighing your food, weighing yourself, numbers, mirrors.. are all controlling. You should just be happy and eat better’. Maybe for the average person.. but with extreme weight loss/gain, there’s already such a control by not having control.. that the controlling your food actually brings health.. both physically and mentally. I control my nutrition now by making sure I am getting in the micro and macro nutrients, instead of that bullshit food that has no nutritional value.. controlling me. Controlling that I am eating enough, and the right things for my body/goals.. is different versus controlling food in order to restrict.
If you have dealt with binge eating, or emotional eating, this likely will be relatable to you as well. However, fitness and healthy eating.. weight loss eating.. is not a one-size-fits-all.
