It’s Sunday Check-In Time!

Okay! This week’s progress report!

I kicked my own butt into gear and it feels like a victory! I actually followed through on my plans to do strength training three times a week and didn’t just flake out like a croissant in the sun. My triceps are screaming the last couple days.. I have to turn in my bed like a fish in the middle of the night. Pain doesn’t equal progress but holy schnitzel, it makes me feel alive (and a wee annoyed but here we are!). During during my cardio sessions- I brought the HEAT too! Today’s Sunday sessions says ‘cardio’ because it’ll be something of sorts today. Sometimes it’s morning, but I enjoyed breakfast on a plate with my partner this morning instead of eating out of a container for our first meal which we usually do 7 days a week). I also tracked all my meals this week as well (No asshole eating zone!). All my macros were hit, and not just hit with anything- but hit with all nutritious, healthy foods. We know that not all macros are created equal for weight loss, and just because it fits, doesn’t mean it ships! I’m a big believe in meal prep, that helps us all staying on course when it comes to fitness, and weight loss goals.

Now, the scale didn’t budge much, but I did notice my hips shrinking by half an inch when I took my measurements. But before you start congratulating me on my weight loss (which was .2lbs this week lol), let me tell you that I’m due for my monthly cycle within days. And as we know, that can bring some serious water retention that would make the Titanic float again. So, I’m not too worried about the scale this week especially because I know I did my best in every other area. If I didn’t, I would mentally be questioning it, but that’s not the case here.

I mean, it sucks when we work hard and progress might not look like much (I get that because we all go through it when we’re monitoring), but there’s a legit reason for it. Therefore, we will chill and enjoy the ride, shall we?
